Chalk markers

My biology teacher always made us all drawings on the blackboard chalk, if I had the digital board had taught us photos and even videos to better explain things.

            Further it increases student motivation because it is more dynamic.

Then I'll pick up the advantages and disadvantages of each of the two boards, thanks to information I found on different websites, to reach a final conclusion.



Blackboard chalk

            I found looking for the advantages and disadvantages of the traditional blackboard chalk. As advantages is that it is useful to outline or convey simple information and for students to practice and expose knowledge to other colleagues, but this can also be done in a PDI.  By contrast, the main drawback of the traditional blackboard, according Bookmark this page, the information you type is not permanent because you have to go deleting to write more information, problem which is solved with the PDI because you can save the information.

            There are also advantages and disadvantages of the PDI besides those already explained at the time. The main advantages for teachers are the resource will accommodate different modes of teaching, in the best interests of teachers for innovation and professional development, the teacher can prepare much more attractive and documented classes, allows the possibility of recording and printing provides access to graphics and much more information that can prepare lessons easily. The advantages of using this board for students are increasing the motivation and interest, facilitates understanding, you can increase the text size and zoom images, and a method for presenting information to students with some problems. By contrast, the disadvantages of this board is that there must be a space reserved for it, teachers must receive information and sometimes are not the work to do and finally is an expensive resource.

With all that I've wanted to do an analysis of the advantages and disadvantages of the whiteboard, as well as differences with the traditional blackboard chalk to analyze it a little better, because I had never stopped to do so. Furthermore, this is a resource that is the order of the day in places so I consider it important to know all the utilities you have and what can facilitate the process of teaching and learning.

            Despite all this analysis and after having concluded that the whiteboard is a good resource, one of its main drawbacks of this remedy is that teachers refuse to use it sometimes poor training they have, so I consider interesting deepening about teacher training in technological resources, which will in my next entry.
